This time, I chose the flash drive as the boot drive and had the same result as the DVD drive. I did the same thing using a flash drive and software to install the Ubuntu IOS file on the flash drive. I highlighted install and after that the screen went blank. Once I choose the drive to boot from, I would get a screen asking me if I wanted to install the Ubuntu. After I downloaded the Ubuntu IOS file, I burned it to a DVD and tried to boot from that drive in my BIOS. First of all, I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64bit version with a ASUS P8z77-V motherboard. I downloaded Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS this afternoon and having problems installing it. Have read on several forums where GNS3 is more stable in a Linux environment.
